Racing has become so relatively safe these days that accidents like this, or Max Bianchi’s, are all the more upsetting. It’s just such a crazy twist of fate. Wickens is paralyzed, while Robert Kubica was basically uninjured after that horrifying wreck in Canada.

Too true. Especially when stuff like this happens and the guy walks away. Quarter inch here 1 mph faster there and your toast.
